November Events

November could not have got off to a better start.  We were delighted to welcome 300 visitors to our annual fireworks night which went down a storm! Here's our 'Whats On' Guide for November and Friday 11th is a busy day with our monthly coffee morning starting at 10am. 


In the evening our season of live music continues with a fundraising night organised by Music4Fun.  Come and enjoy a superb line up of live music including the welcome return of The Stiff Joints, Blue Dog Blues band and the Music4Fun Band!  The fun starts at 8pm and tickets can be purchased here......

'Trusst in Me' Tickets

Christmas is coming up and our Christmas Draw is now open.  Purchase a square over the bar to enter and be in with a chance of winning a number of prizes.  The draw will be made at our Gala Christmas Dinner which will take place on Friday 16th December.  Its a double celebration as our Club house will be 5 years old!

October is here!

Sorry for the slight delay...its been a busy week!  We are delighted to announce our October programme of events.  The Salisbury Hockey Club season is well under way and both the Ladies and Men's teams deserve our support.  The club has become a genuine venue for Live music and we offer two events this month.  Our Music4Fun Open Mic and Jam sessions will return on Thursday 27th October.  On Friday 28th October we are delighted to announce the return of Irish Duo Ceol na hÉireann.  These two guys really are a ready made party - book early this will sell out!


Falling Leaf Fest a resounding success

The Sports Club, in association with Music4Fun and Salisbury Live are delighted to announce that £1000 proceeds from The Falling Leaf Fest will be donated to the Alzheimer's Society this week. We would like to thank our sponsors, Evolution Motors, Mouldings, Chalke Valley Roofing, The Cricket Field House Hotel, Salisbury Garden Machinery and Salisbury Hockey Club for their support. A huge thanks to all the band who took part in the event. We would also like to thank our staff and volunteers who worked so hard to ensure the event was a success. We look forward to welcoming you all to our club in the very near future.

Are you ready for the Falling Leaf Fest??

There's just a few days to go before the start of the #fallingleaffest, Salisbury's newest mini Music, Beer and Cider Festival HERE at the Sports Club! Support the festival and help us raise money for the Alzheimer Association.  We have done our best to bring you some great bands over the last two years but this line up takes our productions to another level! Our monthly Music4Fun Open mic night opens the festival on Thursday 29th September.  Expect some guest performances and an eclectic mic of local musical talent.

On Friday 30th September we are humbled to have Gypsy Jukebox and the phenomenal Intercepteurs playing on the same night!  Get on our Black & White Chequered dance floor for this collection of Reggae, Roots and Ska Music.

On Saturday we have 8 hours of the best live music for miles. The show starts at 3.30pm with Cell 70, Luke Hall and at around 5pm The Acrustic Badger Band!  Into the early evening we have The Kings of Lounge playing from 6pm.  The evening session starts at 7pm with Lump followed by The Unit at 8pm.  A fantastic show will erupt at 9pm when HP & the Reggae Source take to the stage (The clue to the music is in the name)! After a quick refuel The Brittz take to the stage at 10.20pm.  These boys have taken the south coast by storm, big things beckon and you saw them first at the Sports Club!

On Sunday 2nd October the festival finishes with an afternoon of Grass/Blues/Folk Music from some of the areas best acts.  The music starts with two solo slots starting at 1pm with Sean Rice and Chico Holton.  The music part of the festival will be closed with a stellar performance from Tim Madden & the Struggle from 3pm.  Beer, Cider and the normal array of Bar drinks will be available through the evening and the Clubs monthly quiz will start from 8pm!
